Amilia June Farris

Mia is climbing everything in our house!    She pushed the chair out so she can climb on top of the table.   Here she is on top of a chair getting to things on a shelf.  And the most dangerous climb is this one! Obviously we do not encourage this! 

Mia has been learning this shape board for a number of months. She can locate all the shapes. She still is working on colors , but she is only 1 year and 5 months. We are proud of her.  She put all the shapes in herself.

It's been awhile since I last posted. Here is what is going on in the life of Mia. She is now running around. She is pretty confident on her feet. She is eating a lot of different foods. Lots of fruits and veggies. She currently loves blueberries. She sometimes gets picky about what she eats, and if you offer her something she isn't interested in, she will shake her head "no". It's cute, but sometimes makes it hard to find something to eat for her. Otherwise she is a good eater. She loves to be silly and laugh. She likes to dance, but mostly loves to climb on anything she can. She is pretty good at it too. She climbed up and into her high chair that is at her grandmas house in Woodside. She currently says a few words, some we are not quite sure what they mean, but others like "mommy", "bubbles", and "doggie", and any variations of those words. She's had her bout of colds and flus over the past 8 months. Her last one...

Today our little girl starts a new chapter in her life. When an infant becomes a toddler. Watching her change over the last year has been quite amazing. We watched her grow so quickly. Every moment was memorable.  When she first opened her eyes. When she first rolled over.  The first time she sat on her own and even more recently stood.  Thanks to everyone who was able to come celebrate her birthday with us. 

8 days before my birthday 

Daddy tried playing R&B, not interested.  He tried playing Country, still no interest.  He put on a dance mix from Amazon and boom!  We are dancing. We might have a dancer in the family.  She can make up for what mommy and daddy don't like to do :)

Leading up to nine months has been a lot of progress. Minus the cold she has, but is slowly recovering from.  Just in the last week she is climbing up to a standing position. Just today we got it on camera.  Thanks to her cousins for the Frozen bus. She really like playing with it. The two pictures below were taken moments after each other. She pulled her self up to the fence, then crawled over to her frozen toy and pulled herself into a sitting position. Daddy was home and has no idea how she progressed to sitting on a toy. Time is going by so quickly. 

Almost 8 months old

Mia, mommy, and daddy are in the process of moving! We bought a house in Oakley California!  Mia has her own room with lots of space.  Although we are bouncing back and forth between Woodside and Oakley, the house in Oakley is slowly coming together. Boxes are slowly being unpacked and rooms are starting to look like living spaces instead of empty areas.   Here is some of the house before furniture.  Photos of the house

Amilia is starting to get her first tooth on the bottom. We just felt the start of something poking from her gums two days ago. Now there is a little white cap.  So far she hasn't had any noticeable fever, but has been a little fussy more than usual.  Next up, tooth fairy. 

Amilia demonstrated all of what she has to offer yesterday to Ildi and Erzsi. Everything from how she laughs to how she is now able to get into the crawling position. 

We welcomed Amilia into a larger family in July as we had Amilia baptized.  She do very well through the mass and while getting baptized.  She never got upset.  It was great. We all felt very loved and appreciated all who came out to attend her baptism.  Lastly, thank you to her aunty Csilla for being the photographer and taking great pictures, her grandma and grandpa Kathy and John for hosting the reception, and finally her godparents, Kristi and Cristian, for taking on the responsibility that comes with being godparents.
